EU’s NIS2 Directive marks a transformative step in bolstering national cybersecurity. Effective from November 1, 2025, this law imposes stringent requirements on essential and important entities across 18 critical sectors, mandating robust risk management, incident reporting, and supply chain security. A cornerstone of compliance lies in the strategic use of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certificates to ensure secure communication, authentication, and data integrity. This presentation explores the key requirements of the new law, focusing on how PKI supports cryptography, multi-factor authentication, and secure supply chains. It highlights practical steps for organizations to align certificate management with the law’s mandates, including lifecycle automation and trusted certification authority vetting. Attendees will gain insights into navigating compliance, mitigating risks, and leveraging PKI to build a resilient cybersecurity posture in the evolving threat landscape.
